The alagory of the gym

I have come to the realization that life is like the following description of working out at the gym (this is how I understand things).  You are doing yoga, you have been doing yoga for a long time, you enjoy yoga.  You are in an advanced yoga class and you are working very very hard.  You are near the end of the class are you are thinking that you are at the end of your endurance, as this thought goes through your head your special personal trainer comes into the quiet yoga class with a total of 150 lbs worth of barbell and weight and instructs you to start dead lifting in the middle of yoga.  You do so, a bit embarrassed but you are able to lift more than you thought you could and your trainer spots you a bit to lift some more.  You are even more fatigued as you finish the yoga class.  As the class ends your trainer pulls you out and over to a stationary bike and instructs you to ride the stationary bike around the gym.  " But. . . It's a a stationary bike. . . " you stammer as you get on and start peddling.  "I know," he says, " you will figure something out."  So you peddle, get off and drag the bike, peddle, drag, peddle, drag.  Every so often your trainer hands you something else to lift, squat, push up or crunch.  You finally make it around the gym.  No longer caring that anyone is watching you carry the bike or the least bit even remembering that yoga was interrupted with the barbell.  When you finally get a chance to get a drink, and are hoping to rush out the door your trainer catches a hold of you and asks you if you will trust him and teach a step aerobics class (this is my own personal nightmare you can sub your own nightmare in here if you would like).  The teacher is a loved one and they desperately need your help.  If you trust your trainer he will help you, so you do.  You trust him, and you love the person you are helping so through the aching muscles and the fear that you are not good enough and the knowledge that someone else would probable do this better you move your feet and pump your arms and you get through that class with a smile on your face without falling down or making too big of a fool of yourself.  You go home dragging the bike behind you, with a joyful heart.

The next day you go to yoga and forget that the day before this was your limit, and maybe are a little less afraid.
